Preparation
- Gather all your ingredients: chicken fillets, onion, mustard, cream, white wine, olive oil, chives, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
- Slice the chicken fillets into thin strips.
- Peel and finely chop the onion.
- Heat olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent (about 3-5 minutes).
- Add the sliced chicken to the pan and cook until lightly browned on both sides.
- Pour in the dry white wine and let it reduce for a few minutes.
- Add the liquid cream and mustard, stir well, and season with salt and pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15-20 minutes to thicken.
- Sprinkle the chopped chives on top before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat slowly to prevent sauce from separating. Can also be served over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
